Pastor David is glad to be part of the Wooster community, having previously served as pastor of several United Methodist Churches in northeast Ohio for a total of about 20 years. He enjoys creating environments where the great story of God’s love, grace, and mercy, shown to us in Jesus Christ, connects to people’s everyday lives, bringing about transformation through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Marj and husband, Steve, live in the country near Apple Creek with their two dogs and two chickens.  They have five adult children, eight grandchildren, and enjoy their time with all of them.

Becky is a C.O.W. alumna and returned to Wooster in 2002. She joined the WUMC staff as the office manager in 2015. Becky has two adult daughters and her furry friend, Beane, who is in training to become a therapy dog. Becky enjoys cooking, biking and photography. 

A new member to the Wooster United Methodist Church in 2005, Nancy moved to Wooster from Ontario, Canada in 2003. She has been occupied by music since she was four years old and has had active participation with musical theater, community and church choirs and sang with an a cappella trio. Nancy is the director of the Wooster UMC Chancel Choir and Praise Band. While Nancy’s other passion is making jewelry, leisure time means teaching piano, playing Scrabble, gardening and traveling. Nancy and her husband, Tim, have a blended family with 4 adult children, 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters.

Inez is the Bell Choir Director at Wooster UMC. She studied music at Muskingum college and Ohio University. She plays piano and organ. In 1977 she moved to Wooster where she now resides with her husband Larry. They have 5 adult children.

Steve Gerber resides in Dalton with his wife, Karen. They have two adult children and five grandkids. As a youth, Steve attended the Baltic UMC where he became interested in church music. Steve graduated from The Ohio State University. He retired in 2019 as Controller for Lehman’s. Steve served as Director of Music, Organist, Choir Director, and Handbell Director at the Richville United Church of Christ in Navarre, Ohio for 35 years before stepping aside in 2019. Steve is a member of the American Guild of Organists and has achieved the service playing certification.

Tina has worked at WUMC in an administrative/communications capacity since 2013. She and her family moved to Wooster from Cuyahoga Falls in 1999 and love being a part of the Wooster community. Tina and her husband Chris have three daughters (Maggie, Molly and Micki) in various stages of adulthood. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Tina loves gardening and crafting.

Nathan attended the Wooster United Methodist Church from birth through high school. After graduating from The Ohio State University with a Music Education degree and Ohio University with a degree in Computer Education and Technology Nathan and his wife moved back to Wooster in 2009. Nathan and Carmen have two children. Nathan joined the WUMC staff as Technology Director in 2021. Nathan is thankful to be able to use his training in music and computers to help spread God's word.

Deb moved to Wooster in July 2022 and began attending Wooster United Methodist Church. The reason for her move to Wooster was to be closer to her grandkids (two live in Wooster and two live about two hours away in Pennsylvania). She enjoys being able to spend time with them on a regular basis.

Ali has been a member of Wooster UMC her whole life.  She and her husband Aaron have two daughters, Gwen and Libby.  In addition to being the Director of Children's Ministry at WUMC, Ali is the Family and Community Partnership Liaison at Tri-County Educational Service Center.  Ali loves working with kids and helping families thrive.  In her free time, Ali loves reading, hiking, and baking.
